First Communion_4First Communion Instruction

Parents who feel their child is "ready" to receive their first Holy Communion should contact the church office with the best day of the week and time for a two-hour class for young peopole and a parent or adult to attend together.

Typically, parents at St Peter's have determined their child is ready some time between the ages of 7-10.  On the Sunday when a child receives their first communion, parents and other family members are invited to come to the altar along with the child as the "first table" and to receive the sacrament together at the altar rail.
