Welcome to St. Peter's Church Library!

Are you an avid reader?  Do you like to listen to music, watch movies or research the Bible?

Want some quiet time? Then, come to our church library!

Our church library is open during the Sunday School hour (9-10 am), regular church office hours (9 am-1pm), Tuesday through Friday or when the church is open to different groups in the evening. Please call or stop by the church office to make sure that nothing is scheduled in the library area.

Our Church Library is a ministry for all ages.  The mission of the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Library is to provide wholesome Christian materials for use by our church members, our homebound members and members of our community who may be involved in an outreach program of our church.  It is our goal to minister to the needs of the congregation and stimulate Christian growth by providing a variety of subjects and materials that are suited for meditation, worship, inspiration, enjoyment and education.  The church library operates within the confines of the adopted general policies of the church.

We gather in the grace of God in the church library for meetings, bible study, children/youth activities, and prayer/mediation with God.

We share the Gospel of Christ with one another and to those in our community by teaching and reaching out to others about Him and to others who do not know Him through scripture/bible studies.

We nurture ourselves with God's word and open our hearts to grow in faith.

We care for those in need by opening our library to not only church members but as an outreach to those in our community who need guidance, wisdom and seeking to know Him.

Let us thank our Lord for the spiritual nourishment we receive from the materials in our library and share His word with others. We encourage you to visit the library, browse and check out items.

St. Peter's Church Library has a library policy. (A copy will be available on the church library desk.) Please note that the library staff has a right to discard library materials that are damaged, moldy, yellowed/brittle pages, irreparable and smell of mildew. These books will be recycled. Duplicate books will be added to a book sale or sold to Half-Price Books or given to a charity. A donation receipt will be available. If we cannot use your donated items, you can indicate on our donation form that you would like them returned to you with your contact information.

We have a little something for all ages in our church library ranging from preschool, elementary, tweens, teens, college students, young adults and adults. The church library is located off of the Assembly Room. The library materials are in the lounge area.

Once you have your materials to check out, locate the sign-out cards in the back of the books or inside cases.  Write down the date you check it out, and print your name.  Please place sign-out card in basket which is located on the main library desk or the Rotary Bookcase in the Social Room.

As a courtesy for all who check out items at St. Peter's, all materials may be checked out for a period of three (3) weeks.

Please place all returned library items in the basket located in the church library area.  Please do not re-shelve materials.

New or gently used Christian books, mostly for 6th-12th graders. Other Christian books accepted: historical, inspirational, biographies, etc. Please fill out the donation sheet and place on top of your donated items on the desk. A donation tax form may be picked up at the library desk or check with our church librarian.
