First Time Visitor?

St Peter's is a friendly congregation of families with children as well as singles, couples, and older adults.  We love the traditions of the Lutheran church but also embrace more contemporary and relaxed practices as well.  Some of our congregation comes from generations of St Peter's members, while others are new to the Lutheran church and to the Lancaster community.  Visitor folders are available with details of our congregation and its ministries.  Please pick one up when you visit!

What You Can Expect

Our worship service is open and inclusive.  The Worship Bulletin, available from the ushers as you enter, contains the order of service and the sung liturgy parts which makes the service easy to follow.

Holy Communion

We celebrate Holy Communion on the first and third Saturday and every Sunday of each month.  All who believe in the real presence of Christ in our Sacrament for the forgiveness of sins are welcome to participate.

Children's Message, Quiet Bags & Older Children's Bulletins

Children are welcome in our worship together and a special "Children's Message" is included as part of the service.  "Quiet bags" of little toys are also available in the back of the sanctuary and older children enjoy the children's bulletins which include pencil games and pictures.

Cry Room Area

When needed, a parent can leave the sanctuary with their child and move to a cry room area located in the social room.  There are toys, books, etc. to keep them occupied. The service is broadcast to the social room on the lower level as well.

Alternative Liturgical Service

On the second Sunday of most months, we worship using an alternative format with contemporary Christian music and instruments.
